Someone captures Murphy and Vamp, ties them up somewhere in the tunnels, and then tries to transfer Vamp’s Body Image Template into Murphy. They’re rescued by Security. Then Murphy has to deal with TCS (Total Cellular Starvation) since she’s down to 70 pounds.[1]
In New York[]
The Troll Bride meets Lady Jettatura in the Grand Hall of Sinister Wisdom. Nephandus' mother says she's headed up to Whateley Academy to acquire a mystic artifact; when she's done she will have something she can bargain with to get her wedding rings back, since Lady Jettatura is headed to Cincinnati to deal with the Green Witch, who currently has them.[2] (The remainder of this story is undated.)
In Miami[]
Ayla and Vanessa's vacation continues. For once, things go more or less as planned, and Ayla doesn't get dragged into a giant superpowered battle. It's heavily implied that the two of them get frisky the night before coming home.[3]
Somewhere Unknown[]
Josh Gillman meets up with Beth and Clark in a coffee shop. On his way home he is beaten up by Ray Stanz and Henry Sanchez where his glasses are broken; at home, he discovers his mother has signed him for Mathletes. That night, Josh has his first encounter with Ecila Mason.[4]
