As the de facto center of most superhuman and paranormal activity on the Eastern Seaboard of the US, NYC is the location of many of the stories not taking place at Whateley Academy. The largest concentration of minor and major superheroes, supervillains and superneutrals in the world can be found there, with at least five major superhero teams and literally hundreds of 'street heroes' or every imaginable stripe - only Whateley itself comes close for the sheer number of paranormals in one place.
