Chain Mail (Peter Key, formerly Michelle Petrie), Junior High student by Domoviye, introduced in Payback Is a B-!.
Chain Mail was created between Domoviye and two fans, when a bad character idea became really interesting and brainstorming happened on Discord. Within an hour or two the character was created with a basic character sheet and everything, including a place as a minor side character in Domoviye's newest story.[1]
Appearance[]
The boy, who literally had muscle on top of muscle, and would be a shoe in for a teenage Hollywood mafia thug, right down to the blunt, hard features and a bit of a squint in his right eye, looked up, his tanned cheeks darkening a little from a blush[2]
Chain Mail originally was a regular participant in beauty pageants, talent shows, and modelling while doing acting and singing classes, so she was clearly a pretty girl. She was obsessed with her appearance, thanks to her upbringing. After manifesting and changing to a male, the only thing left of his former self is his long black hair.[1]
When excited, usually when talking about hair, he looks a lot like an excited puppy dog. A big, ugly, puppy dog.[2]
History[]
Michelle Petrie was raised to be famous. Her parents pushed her into every beauty pageant they could starting when she was a toddler. They controlled how she dressed, how she acted, how she smiled, and who she played with. In their warped minds, they were going to make her world famous as a model, singer, and/or actress. She followed along thinking this was totally ordinary.
Then she manifested at 12.
She first noticed she could make a forcefield that made her stronger and protected her from any ordinary thing. Her parents tested it by breaking a bat over her arm, then bent a crowbar. They got a new dream, she'd be a world famous superhero.
One interesting thing is that she found the forcefield was stronger the less she had on. She and her mother designed a bikini for her to use as a super suit. This was totally psychosomatic as she thought she was better the more she showed off her body.
Then she started growing muscle at an incredibly high speed, losing her breasts and figure, looking more masculine. Her horrified parents took her to one doctor, and then they learned she was becoming male. They shut her up inside the house, hoping and praying she'd at least be good looking, only to see her becoming more and more thug-like. All of their dreams were dashed.
She eventually ran away. Living on the street for almost a year, she was finally picked up by a superhero team, when there was a report of a dangerous thug beating up several teenagers. They discovered he had been attacked by a gang and was defending himself. When they asked for his name, he picked the name of his father without even thinking, and picked the name Key when he saw a key on the table.
He was sent to Whateley as a male student in the winter term as a junior high student, after he told them his age, and due to his test scores.[1]

PK 4: Due to psychosomatic issues, the strength of his field depends on what he's wearing and showing off. In the skin tight testing uniform, a speedo or ripped and shredded clothes, he's almost as strong as Lancer. But the more clothes he puts on the weaker it gets, going as low as PK 2 if he's bundled up.
Exemplar 3: Just barely superhuman level. His BIT has made him look nearly inhumanly strong as well as turning him into a guy.
