Dr. Ingraham is tall, and dark haired. She is a surgeon who specialises in Sexual Reassignment Surgery (SRS). She was attracted to the field in part from being herself transgendered. She is contracted by Dr. Gellmar in December 2006 to give Jade Sinclair's body a more feminine appearance, working within the constraints of Jade's regeneration.[1] In addition to reconfiguring Jade's genitalia, she tries an experimental approach to developing Jade's breasts - she first lectures Jade on the peculiarities of regenerator milk, then introduces her to a mother (Mrs. Jimoh) and her sickly baby son, Alhaji, and issues Jade with the ultimatum: “Unless you can feed this baby with your breast milk, he will die!”
