The Eight Immortals are eight Chinese supernatural beings. By different means, they achieved immortality by a deep connection to the Tao. They are:
- He Xiangu
- Cao Guojiu
- Li Tieguai
- Lan Caihe Ho
- Lü Dongbin
- Han Xiang Zi
- Zhang Guo Lao
- Zhongli Quan[1]
Lan Caihe Ho and He Xiangu, in particular, took an interest in Bladedancer and are acting as her guardians of record.[2] The other Immortals may yet appear in the stories.
