The Gentleman is the Liberty League resident Magic-user. Among other magic tasks, he created magic charms for the League members that protect them from telepathic attacks and mind-control. It is speculated that one of the motivations for creating the charms might have been to protect his wife from unwanted advances by their teammate, Adonis.[1]

The Gentleman affects a distinguished look, wearing a very old-fashioned-looking green suit, with a long coat, a wide-brimmed hat and a golden metal cane.[2]
