Just Me/Mille [Jane Fisher/John Alarie], is a shifter who appears to be a fourteen year old girl that appeared out of nowhere at a hospital emergency room in Halifax, Canada, 2005, suffering from hypothermia with severe bruising all over her body.[1] She claimed to have no memory of her past, and was diagnosed as suffering from severe emotional trauma.[2]
In actuality Jane Fisher is a French/American shifter assassin, possibly named John Alarie, and somewhere in his 40's. After being suicidal, possibly for years, and hunted for months by his many enemies, he underwent a dangerous operation that was supposed to burn out his powers leaving him as a baseline. He chose the body of a 12 year old girl, because it was as different from himself as he could go.[1]
When Jane 'manifested' again at fourteen, she was extremely surprised. Due to damage caused by her burnout, she suffers seizures that causes her to shift involuntarily and drastically limits what she had originally be able to accomplish. Soon after regaining her powers, she was sent to Whateley, much to her dismay.[1]
As of November 25th, she is an unenthusiastic member of the combat Team Unexpected.[3]

As a shifter 5, Jane can drastically alter her appearance, gaining or losing 10lbs, changing her height, making fat turn to muscle or bone and vice versa, hair and skin colour, and proportions are also changeable. Trying to alter her organs, such as gaining a male reproductive system causes intense pain, but is possible. However this will cause a grande mal seizure soon after, reverting her to a female very abruptly and painfully, she has been warned not to do it.[1]
She has kept her baseline appearance with only a few minor changes.
Going to the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror. Short brown hair framed her pale, chubby face, boring brown eyes, a few freckles, and her lips were a touch too thin. Her button nose was nice at least. She could politely be placed on the cute side of plain. She ran and exercised enough that she was curvy rather than fat, which a lot of the boys at school liked, much to her distaste.[1]
When she needs to she will take on any appearance necessary, turning herself into a persons twin right down to the voice, or making herself appear to be a senior citizen.[2]
History[]
Originally from France, John ran away from home at the age of 12, and lived in Paris learning how to be a con artist and thief.[4] Taking the nickname Mille (Thousand).[2]
At some point in the late 1980's he met his future wife, Katherine Solace, when she picked his pocket in London. He tracked her down to retrieve his fake ID, and they became partners. They conned a mob boss in Italy, pretending to be a priest and a nun, which nearly got the killed. In December, 1988, they stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from a gang leader in East Germany, along with the East German government and were almost caught, causing them to have to flee to Paris using a teleporter.[4]
In 1992, he abandoned Katherine, who was 9 months pregnant with their son, Shawn Solace, when several enemies tracked them down. After telling Katherine to forget about him and never tell their child who he was, he abandoned his civilian identity and appearance, becoming only Mille.[1]
He slowly became more violent, going from pulling cons to assassinations. In 2002, he was asked to kill an organized crime leader Matthew Fusco, to cover a favour. Rather than just killing the target, he was able to be hired as a nanny for the crime boss. Over several days he stole tens of millions from the crime boss, and then went to kill Fusco. He failed, killing the mans two children instead.[1]
In 2004, his enemies learned how to track him, no matter who he shifted into. After several months, he faked his death in Boston, in February 2005. In actuality he teleported as a bomb went off. Afterwards he purposefully underwent a controlled burnout in Halifax, Canada, becoming a young girl. He was dropped off close to a hospital and walked into the ER, claiming she didn't remember anything.[1]
She was put into the foster system, and given the name Jane Fisher. Her first foster parents sexually abused her, and she eventually killed them, making it seem like the water furnace broke and filled the house with carbon monoxide. In August 2007, she 'manifested', regaining some of her shifter powers, but gaining daily seizures in the process. and was sent to Whateley.[1]
At Whateley, Jane met Shawn Solace (code name Incognito) and confirmed that he was Mille's son.[2] Jane became best friends with Shawn and a small group of students. She also got anti-seizure medication which limited her seizure to every few days, or when under stress.[1]
On November 10th, she and Shawn went to Berlin. While there they were attacked by a group of men, she was injured with a concussion and Shawn was nearly beaten to death. They were given a message calling Mille out.[1] Jane knew who attacked them, but did not tell Whateley. Instead she used her old skills and contacts, including calling in a favour from The Imp, claiming Mille was her father, planning to deal with the problem herself.[2]
A week later, on the pretext of going to Winnipeg Canada to see if the government had found her family, she left Whateley with a supposed government minder. She then changed her identity and flew to Philadelphia. Over the course of one day, Just Me slaughtered everyone close to Fusco before killing him, and escaping. The next evening she was back at Whateley, believing she'd made it out with her identity relatively intact.[2]
On November 26th, suffering from internal bleeding and half healed wounds from her attack on Fusco, she fell down a flight of stairs in Crystal hall. Her injuries, new and old were discovered by Dr. Tenent. Chief Delarose had the medical reports altered for her safety, with only himself, Headmistress Carson and Dr. Tenent having access to the original. Incognito overheard the injuries and began trying to solve what was going on with her, discovering several troubling things.[3]
Equipment[]
At Whateley, Jane originally had no equipment, relying only on her shifting powers and not sticking out in a crowd.[1]
After Shawn was attacked, she purchased a Mobius belt, that can stretch to match her shifting size. She got several specially made self-defence chemicals from Alchemical, along with a PFG, several extremely lethal poisons, and a knife that can create a plasma field around it melting steel and cooking anything it hits.[2]
Personality[]
Jane is severely damaged.
Before 1992, Mille was outgoing, charming, and a social chameleon, able to go from a drunk Frenchman, to an American father, to a young girl, to an African woman in a lesbian relationship with only a few seconds to prepare.[4] As time went on, while still able to pretend to be radically different people, he was becoming very aggressive, suicidal and resorting to self-harm.[1]
Now as Jane, she doesn't know how to act, watching others to get social cues, and according to multiple students, she appears lost.
“I don't look lost. Do I?” Turning away he began doing something with his tools as he said, “Well, yeah. You always seem kind of distracted and not all there, like you're thinking about something really hard, or not sure what to do.”[2]
She also shows discomfort at being hugged by her roommate and friend, Smile. When confronted by a bully, she would passively accept any blows, reacting just enough to avoid getting badly hurt.[2]
However, after Shawn was attacked, she became more focused, aggressive andviolent. She threatened to stab out a bully's eyes, while on his back with a knife touching his eye. Sexually assaulted Alchemical when he refused to sell her several chemical sprays, offering to do anything he wanted while forcing him to fondle her. And she terrified her roommate simply by how she looked and acted while angry.[2]
After killing Mr. Fusco and about thirty of his employees, she showed signs of shock and PTSD the next day.[2]
She also has gender dysphoria.
Two years after being found without any ID, family, friends, or even a name, and she still didn't know who she was. Her mind and personality didn't fit, and she didn't feel comfortable in her own skin. Her body was just wrong, it felt too small, too light, missing important bits. Maybe in a few more years it would finally feel like hers.[1]

As Mille, he could comfortably shift to a body as small as an average eleven year old girl to a very large and muscular man.[1] He could go a little smaller but it left him feeling sore, like his skin was crushing him.[4]
Now as Jane, she is largely limited to adding or decreasing her mass by 10lbs, and can't shift her sex without extreme difficulty.[1]
She can use her power to heal herself, knitting bone back together, closing cuts, and shifting bruised flesh around to lessen the pain and damage. She can also seal large wounds from gun shots. This all causes strain on her body, and slows the healing process, but is invaluable in a fight [1]
