A razorspinner is a genetically engineered lifeform developed by Jobe Wilkins and apparently available on the open (black) market. Jobe describes them as:

"a cross of silkworm and spider, with just a touch of genius added in. The resulting creature, my “razorspinners,” spun a webline that could slice nearly anything organic. And the delightful little creatures had a digestive venom that was adept at dissolving vertebrate flesh as well as insect protein."[1],

Apparently they are small enough to live in a large terrarium, and are extremely dangerous.

Jobe Wilkins was the sick fuck who had genetically engineered the razorspinner. What a warped POS.[2]
He dragged us into his lab. I glanced around. It didn’t look like the typical lab around here. Everything looked organized and protected. There were experiments behind sealed glass, and fancy stuff that looked like it was isolating a stack of Petri dishes.
There was also a glass terrarium of what I was afraid were razorspinners.[3]
