Suzan Chylds by Drunkfu
Suzan Chylds is a cheerleader at Russel High School[1] in Russel City, California.[2] She is a blue eyed blonde. She appears to be an avatar, maybe a paladin, of an ice spirit or ice goddess. Due to the circumstances surrounding the death of her mother,[3] her father is rabidly anti-mutant; Suzan takes care that her father doesn't find out that she is a mutant. She tolerates her step-mother. (There are references to her father working for both Humanity First and the MCO.)
As a result of being embarrassed by Josh Gillman, she is manipulating Ray Stanz to put the hurt on Josh in a major way; she is not aware that Stanz caused the incident.
She has two sidekicks, Becky Brown, who she uses for "Kissing Practice",[3] and the forgettable Dorothy Maxwell.[2]
After a confrontation with Mr. Maxwell, her mutant status became public, and (predictably) her father rejected her, transferring guardianship to her maternal uncle Bill, who revealed that Suzan's mother had also been a mutant.[2]
Eventually, she was sent to Whateley Academy.[4]
Powers[]
Suzan's powers aren't entirely clear, as she hasn't been formally tested as of March 2007, but she appears to be an Avatar, and is bound to an ice spirit of some kind. She appears to have manifested very young, at a time of great stress, while lost in the wilderness in mid-winter; the spirit bound with her at that time and protected her from the weather, so she could survive the night until help arrived. She dismissed this as a fantasy until much later, when she was forced to use her powers to try to save Josie's life.
Given her exceptional appearance, she may also be an Exemplar, but if so, probably a low-level one.
