Sources[]
I was working on a Kane Hall main article (got sidetracked working on a Advanced Technologies Program article) and wonder where the info in that section is coming from, particularly the 16” telescope and such. The old wiki entry refers to a Q&A thread, but there seems to be no thread with that exact name, the closest is this one , and doesn't contain any WOG at all. There is also this one and while it's not in Q&A it seems to have been the source for some the info in this article. Nothing about the telescope, though. Addiab 00:22, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
Schuster/Shuster[]
Schuster is used in more (53 to 21) and in on average more recent stories. While the building is out of story named for Joe Shuster in-universe it probably predates his fame and is named for someone else. Apparently the authors decided in favor of the spelling Schuster, possibly to make the reference slightly less obvious. In light of that I replaced all references to Shuster in the article with Schuster. Addiab 14:07, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
Consolidation[]
I think Everett Swimming facility and Schulz Ice Rink should be removed, since there is no indication that they actually exist beyond being thought of as neat names for possible additions. I also think Stanton and Siegel hall should be removed except for a notice for Schuster Hall that it was also called by those names. Addiab 16:32, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
You have a point, Everett and Schultz were suggested (by me) on the forums but so far neither has been taken up, beyond a couple authors commenting that they liked the names. Anyway, *even if they are ever used*, I doubt that they will be buildings on their own; more likely they will be just parts of the Phys.Ed. building (Laird Hall, if I'm not mistaken). So I'm for the removal.
While we are at it... maybe a bit more hierarchical organization is in order. I have already moved Eastman Annex as a subheading to Laird Hall, but I couldn't figure out Llewellyn -- it's an annex, but an annex to what? Other minor buildings that don't show in the map (Dillon Chapel comes to mind) might be part of larger buildings, and therefore should be linked to them -- if we can figure out the relationship. In the same vein, the Crystal Hall is an appendix to Schuster, so it should be a subheading of it. --Sir Lee 03:26, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
