While Jefferson certainly helped Sharisha, I would consider evidence for Hines' involvement in this case inconclusive at best. The relevant passage reads to me more like Jefferson musing about his own neutrality position and willingness to help a mutant in need. It's also uncertain if there was or was not a superhero involved, so it might be premature to remove that mention. When I first read it, I read it as Jefferson musing over the actions of Hines and himself working together. I struck out the comment about the mutant, because it was "original canon" although we've seen that change before.
