Tatanka watching over Kayda
Tatanka (the Lakota word for bison) is one of the two spirits that Kayda Franks has bonded with. Tatanka is there as Kayda's teacher, protector, and friend. He teaches her to dream walk, and introduces her to the other Animal Spirits for her lessons.
While there are many bison spirits, Tatanka is the supreme bison spirit. His appearance is of a pure white shaggy plains bison.
Abilities[]
Tatanka is able to shield Kayda from psychic intrusion. He can manifest physically in various sizes, ranging from full grown adult bison, down to dog sized. In manifested form, he is able to communicate by non-mystical means and is a formidable physical combatant, being able to penetrate the protective field of a strong PK Brick such as Tractor. He is very protective of Kayda.
He is able to tailor his own appearance at least to a point -- following a suggestion from Misty, he started to sometimes sport a look reminiscent of Mr. T if he were a bison,[1] but so far has not displayed the ability of changing his overall shape.
