Theodore Darryl Walcutt puts the lie to "Theodore" meaning "God's Gift" in any but an ironic sense. It's worth noting that he's Tansy's father, and Marissa Dawson's husband. His office at the corner office of the Chase Manhattan building provides a spectacular view: of New York, and of his trophies, including his current "executive assistant".

When first we hear of him, it's through Ayla's mental description of his associates. Theodore, or Old Man Walcutt, is a member of the Trilateral Commission. There are rumors he is an upper-level member of the Brotherhood of the Bell.[1] At that time, it's likely that Ayla Goodkind doesn't yet know that Marissa Walcutt has been committed to an institution,[2] for the past ten years.[3] Neither Ayla[1] nor Tansy[4] would put assassinations past him and his ‘brotherhood’. They shouldn't.[5]

When next we read of him, Walcutt's pimping his underage daughter out at the Mathersons’ big soiree, to see if her beauty and mental powers are good for some industrial espionage.[6] He's largely responsible for just how screwed-up Tansy had become by the time she reached Whateley Academy.[2]

He bought Tango for Tansy to ride as a member of the Liliuokalani Academy for Girls' polo team.

Theodore's visit to Whateley Academy for Parents Day 2007 doesn't go as he would have planned.[3]
